Schmidts' is the best shop in Diez, everyone says that! The burgers for the weekend are always fresh and very tasty, gladly again. Greetings Patrick

Went there some time ago and we can only recommend it. I had a rump steak with herb butter and onions. The cooking point was great and the homemade herb butter went very well with it. Service also worked. Happy to come back and greetings T.Freude

Honorable food, best shop far and wide!

Totally miserable .. The service was underground. We were there with 20 people, there were not enough seats available (difficult, since there is space for 4 people per table, the whole 5 makes 20 seats plus two end faces). So we had to move the tables independently. Empty glasses were simply cleared away, without the question of whether you wanted to drink something else. But the blast was the food. A schnitzel (pork, of course) for 11.80 € WITHOUT any kind of side dish (these cost extra, between 3-4 €, depending on whether French fries or salad). That means, for a simple pork schnitzel (tasted like finished product) with fries, you pay € 14.80. The people who opted for the beef steak were not at all satisfied with their cooking points (from rare to medium). Potato pancakes with salmon are also not recommended. The buffers are frozen goods and the salmon was "only" packaged smoked goods, but this was completely over the top for just under € 11. My recommendation: Just avoid the shop, bad food, bad service, much too expensive, atmosphere so-so, everything seemed pretty unloving.

Where else is there? Everything is right !!! fresh home-style cooking, the Schnitzel and the fresh beer, salad and side dishes everything ... there you feel at home, super nice the service and the service, in the beer garden great atmosphere, even guest dog with water and something to nibble, a crackling log fire, even cuddly blankets for freezing guests ... what more could you ask for? Price, quality and performance ... really recommended. Yes, we'll be back! Thanks for the nice evening!

Why should I go somewhere else? Here I find everything I need. Family atmosphere, loving service, delicious, varied food ... over and over and over, for years. <3 <3 <3

At a closed event with an agreed number of children, the kids had to wait two hours for their food. On demand, if ever a small portion of fries can be brought, came the statement: We should be patient. There is still a table in front of us! At 9.30 pm our children (both well under 10 years old) got their food. After we had complained to the boss we were told that if we are in a well-known fast food restaurant in the queue are not treated because of the children preferred! At last she said goodbye with the words: She was done with us!

Delicious eaten in the local pub. Good kitchen and also very nice prices. The service was most nice. There was also a live band. And our dog was also very welcome. Really a recommendation!

The Lexel Mind should be very careful with such claims. That can backfire quickly. Everything is fine here. The best beer garden far and wide. The service and the atmosphere are right.

At first glance it looks like a run-of-the-mill old gentleman's pub .. but one entrance further you come to the beer garden which is just cool .. a mixture of everything .. but very cozy and beautiful .. all friendly and crowned by really good food. It was the first time we were in Diez .. if we should be here again it is Schmidts def. a must.

Superb food & really nice staff.

Nice little restaurant. The schnitzel are famous but the steaks are not cooked very well. The medium steak was partly still raw. Nevertheless, the service is absolutely great. It is just a restaurant and not a restaurant.
